This is the press release re: the Art festival I am a part of this year

BLAINE, Wa, June 2009

As of early June over 50 artists had signed up to participate in the second annual Art at the Winery Outdoor Arts Festival to be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, at the Dakota Creek Winery, 3575 Haynie Road in Blaine.
“You can enjoy some outstanding wines, award winning art in a juried show, local musicians, great food and enjoy a personal tour of the winery and cellaring cave,” said winery owner Ken Peck.
Artists from around the northwest have been juried into the show which will fill the field immediately west of the winery. Media includes pottery, watercolors, oil and pastel paintings, photography, textiles, glass, jewelry, clothing, yard art and mixed media.
Musicians from around the area will be performing all day, and Dakota Creek’s Artisan Wines will be available for sampling.
For more information contact the winery at 360/820-4752, or go to their website at Directions to the winery: Take exit 270 from I-5 northbound, turn right onto Birch Bay Lynden Road, then immediately left onto Valley View Road. Continue 2 miles to Haynie Rd and turn left. Watch for signs on your left.
If you know an artist who might like to participate, contact the winery or email Peck at
